Jagger Spun,
started in the mid 80’s, is the sister company to Jagger Brothers. It
was designed to sell Jagger Brothers yarns from a Stock Service
Inventory. This Wholesale yarn supply company markets their products to
knitters, weavers, and yarn shops... The idea was to encourage the sale
of wool and wool blend yarn to smaller manufacturers and promote Jagger
Brothers products. We appear to have created a niche for our colored
yarns of various blends and sizes. Recently we have started selling some
fibers either as worsted ball tops or bumps. Also available are 100%
wool laps and wool/silk laps in 5 lb. bags to encourage people who are
supplying or working with hand spinners.
Chuck’s Corner is named after Chuck Desmond, Manager of Jagger Spun. She
has been with Jagger Spun for about 15 years. And yes, if you want to
know the details behind the name “Chuck” then you need to ask her
directly! The “Corner” was Scott Grey’s idea. Scott is the Sales Manager
for Jagger Brothers and felt the “Corner” was a fun and informative way
to communicate with many customers and show some of the different uses
of our yarns.
We are hoping for positive interaction and feedback from our yarn users
and from people who might want to start using wool. Strange to those of
us who have been around wool forever, but more and more people are
rediscovering “wool” as a Performance Fiber in the 21st
Century.
We hope to use “Chuck’s Corner” to answer yarn, fabric, finishing
questions. Yes, you will hear of some “unadvertised specials” which we
believe offer excellent value.
Finally, or just starting, (glass half full or half empty) our goal is
to increase the usage of wool and wool blend yarns as well as
interesting new fibers we find. Jagger Spun has traditionally sold
Natural Fibers spun into yarns @ Jagger Brothers. We have been
manufacturing wool and wool blend yarns in this area since 1898 and we
hope to encourage another 4-5 generations of customers. Please don’t
hesitate to give us feedback on our products or other items or ideas of
interest to you, our valued customer.
